Holidays, with no pick up, are Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. If your regular collection day falls on a holiday, collection will be delayed by one day (i.e. Tuesday collection will occur Wednesday).
If collection cannot be safely provided, due to bad weather and dangerous conditions, any missed service will be collected on your next regularly scheduled collection day for that service. For example garbage and recycling will be collected one week after the missed collection day. Up to twice the normal amount will be collected at no additional charge.
Set carts out with handle toward the house and place 2 feet apart from each other. Do not block cars, mailboxes, sidewalks or driveways. Remove containers as soon as possible after collection.
If you use your own container it must be in good condition, watertight, made of durable material, have a detached lid and two looped handles. It must have a closed lid with no items protruding, or extra charges will apply, do not tie lid to the can with a bungee cord or rope.
For the drivers’ safety, please no flammable, hazardous, infectious or medical waste in the garbage. Animal waste can be bagged and put in your garbage but should not exceed 10% of the total can volume.
