Elections & Ballot Measures

General Election Nov. 7

City government has a number of positions and an advisory measure on the ballot. Primary election results can be found on the County Auditor's page. The top two candidates in each race move on to the November election. Candidates are listed based on primary election results and candidate filings.

  • Snohomish Mayor: John Kartak and Karen Guzak
  • City Council Position 3: Jason Sanders and Daryl Ferguson
  • City Council Position 4: Tom Merrill and R.C. "Swede" Johnson
  • City Council Position 5: Linda Redmon and Bob Dvorak
  • City Council Position 6: Larry Countryman and Eric Reyes
  • City Council Position 7: Steve Dana and Lisa Caldwell

Marijuanua Advisory Measure

The City Council placed this measure on the general election ballot to seek the opinion of voters regarding whether marijuana related businesses should be permitted to operate in the City of Snohomish.  Existing City codes prohibit all marijuana-related retail, production and processing operations.

The ballot measure is non-binding and advisory.  Following the election, the City Council would determine if the vote warrants taking any steps to revise current City codes.
