Business License Application:

Business Licenses are required for any person or business that conducts, operates, engages in or practices any business in the City.  One business license is required per business owner for each Washington State Department of Revenue number issued to that owner.

Businesses run out of a home need to file this additional form along with the appropriate business license form:

Any special event including but not limited to; fairs, festivals, carnivals, sporting events, foot runs, bike-a-thons, markets, parades, exhibitions, auctions, dances, and motion picture filming need to file this form along with the appropriate business license form:
Special Event Permit

Some special events request permission to place a banner over a public street or right of way. This document describes the requirements for these banners.

What is an NAICS code?

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), codes are designated when you register your business with the State, based on the information you provide on the application. The code describes the nature of your business.

To get your NAICS code you may go to the Washington State Businesses Records Database Search PageYou can then search using either your business name or your 9 digit UBI or your Business Tax Reporting Account (TRA) number.
