All month long we’re celebrating the lasting value that inclusive planning brings to the City of Snohomish.
While people may not realize it, planning significantly impacts their day-to-day lives. Planning decisions can affect the type of house you live in, the quality of life you enjoy, your daily commute, and more.
You can join in the celebration by getting to know the City Planning & Development Services Department’s staff, learning about the local planning initiatives underway, and maybe even attending your first Planning Commission meeting. A good first step would be to visit the Planning & Development Services web page.
- Work for the greater good.
- Are skilled at balancing the varied interests and viewpoints that emerge as a community plans its future.
- Help create communities of lasting value.
Planners must always consider what’s best for the entire community. That means considering the needs of both residents and businesses, protecting the environment while facilitating economic development, and managing growth yet protecting Snohomish’s small town atmosphere.
If you would like to visit the City of Snohomish Planning & Community Development Department and meet the people whose mission it is to enhance the quality of life in Snohomish, contact Planning Director Glen Pickus via email or at 360-282-3173.
