City Manager's
Welcome

Did you know:

a Leaky Toilet can waste 90 Gallons a day

(Leaking toilets waste more water than

any other household fixture.)

How to test your toilet for leaks:

  1. Remove Tank Cover, drop a little food dye into the toilet tank.

  2. DO NOT FLUSH.
  3. Wait 20 minutes.
  4. If the water in the bowl remains clear, no leaks have been detected. If the water in the bowl is colored by the dye there is a leak in the tank. Ask at a hardware store about how to fix a leaking toilet, or contact a licensed plumber.

Water Smart High Efficiency Toilet (HET) $100 Rebate.

You may be eligible to receive a rebate for installing a new, high-efficiency toilet (HET).

If you have a toilet manufactured in 1992 or prior, it may be a model that uses 3.5 to 7 gallons of water per flush. New HET models use less than 1.3 gallons per flush without any sacrifice in performance.

For answers to your rebate questions and to receive a rebate form with the list of qualifying models, please call the Rebate Inforation Line at 1-877-467-0926. There are a limited number of rebates available to Snohomish residents.
