Pre-bid Conferences (Mandatory): They will be held on
the 8th and 10th day of November 2011 at 10:00 am at the Snohomish WWTP
located at 2115 Second Street, Snohomish, Washington 98290. A pre-bid
site visit will be held immediately after each conference. Attendance
at one of the pre-bid conferences and pre-bid site visits is
mandatory.
Scope: Notice is hereby given that the City of Snohomish
will receive sealed bids for performing the construction of WWTP
Near-Term Improvements. The improvements include: installation of a
submerged fixed-film (SFF) media equipment package (pre-selected by the
City under a contract to be assigned to the Contractor) that involves
installing 54 total SFF media modules in Lagoons No. 2 thru 4, three
positive displacement blowers, 27 electrically actuated valves,
instruments, and controls; a new Blower Building to house the positive
displacement blowers and electrical equipment; a new Chemical Building
to house chemical feed equipment, a monorail, and adjacent chemical
storage tank and mixer; replacement of the existing mechanical screen
with a new multiple-rake bar screen; and improvements to the existing
Headworks structure to repair and mitigate cracks and re-grout the
existing screw pump channels.
Notes: Sealed bids will be received at: City Hall, 116
Union Avenue, Snohomish, Washington 98290, Attention: City Clerk. Bids
received after the bids due time will not be accepted. Bids will be
opened in public and read aloud shortly after the specified closing
time. Interested parties are invited to attend.
