City Manager's
Welcome

Draft Shoreline Master Program

The City of Snohomish, with the assistance of an ad hoc Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC), has prepared a draft re-write of the City’s Shoreline Master Program (SMP). These policies and regulations apply to lands close to Blackman’s Lake and the Snohomish and Pilchuck Rivers. This SMP update is required by State law. The draft SMP provided below is still a work in progress, and your input will help the CAC complete its mission of guiding the development of a new SMP for the Snohomish. The hyperlinks below will direct you to each of the draft documents (and the existing SMP).

The professional consulting firm, ESA (Environmental Science Associates) is preparing the majority of the studies, reports, maps and other documents for this project. Funding is provided by a $125,000 grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE). Your input will be considered by the CAC and the City Council as the draft SMP is prepared for adoption.

Submit your written comments to: Mark Johnson, Project Manager, ESA, 5309 Shilshole Avenue NW, Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98107, or by email to: MJohnson@esassoc.com. Mark’s telephone number is (206) 789-9658.
